This system captured the attention of gamers for obvious reasons, but the public at large for also being one of the cheapest DVD players available. That made it the perfect gateway for new players to play some of the best games of all time.
This time it wasn’t just Nintendo and the best GameCube games PlayStation had to compete with, but Xbox entering the market with its own catalog of the best original Xbox games it could put out.
