The Home Office is so desperate they are now going to “legal action” to the Bell Hotel in Epping open for the illegal asylum seekers.

Ministers said on Friday they are going to appeal the High Courts decision to not allow Yvette Cooper the right to intervene in the legal case.

Despite this, Labour insists they want to close the asylum hotels and the Security Minister Dan Jarvis has defended the action.

Labour is in a panic as dozens of councils across England are “instructing” legal teams for advice to rid more hotels of the small boat migrants.

The leader of Reform UK Nigel Farage has said that the 12 local authorities under his control will now follow Epping Forest Council and will take legal advice as to how to move forward to get rid of the “threat posed” by these migrants.

The Daily Express reported that Andrew Husband the Reform UK leader of Durham Council has ordered teams to take note of the High Court decision which is an exemplary “example of the people power” and he will keep a close eye on hotels or other dwellings to ensure the Home Office does not sneak asylum seekers on to his patch.

Husband told Express.co.uk: “I have already challenged our legal team to start mapping out a defence should we face a similar challenge, on the back of this injunction.

“It is certainly something councils can learn from and a great example of people-power underpinned with common sense.

Something this Labour Government seems to overlook.”

Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp said, “It is completely wrong that the Labour government is taking legal action to keep open the Bell Hotel.

“The government isn’t listening to the public or to the courts. Instead of trying to keep illegal immigrants in expensive hotels the Conservatives would immediately deport all illegal arrivals and ensure towns like Epping are never put in this position again.

“In the nine months before the election Conservatives closed 200 hotels.

“If that had continued there wouldn’t be any asylum hotels now – but instead the number of asylum seekers in hotels have gone up since the election under Labour.

“This problem is being caused because 2025 so far is the worst year ever for illegal immigrants crossing the channel.

“Most are young men who have paid people smugglers to illegally enter the UK. Labour has lost control of our borders and communities up and down the country are paying the price.
