The US President has arrived in Davos, Switzerland for the World Economic Forum (WEF) for crunch talks and accused the UK of “letting us down.”
Donald Trump will speak with world leaders in Davos at a time when relations are at a low amid the US President demanding to “take control” of Greenland.
The US President signalled that Sir Keir Starmer is letting America down over the surrender of the Chagos Islands.
The US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said that there will be no further talks between America and the UK.
On Tuesday evening Trump was asked over the special relationship with Sir Keir Starmer and the French President Emmanuel Macron.
Trump said he gets on okay with them, but they have to “straighten out” their own countries, he was then asked if he has spoken with them both since he has taken to his Truth Social media channel saying he will take Greenland.
Trump said, “No, I haven’t [spoken to them], but I think I get along very well with them.
“I mean, they always treat me well. They get a little bit rough when I’m not around, but when I’m around they treat me very nicely. “And, you know, I like both of them.”
