The US President seems to be sending some mixed signals on Tuesday as he has told the Ukrainian President that Ukraine will “get a lot of land,” then warns it will be a “rough situation” if Vladimir Putin does not agree to a peace plan to end the war.

As the war intensifies and continues day and night Donald Trump told Fox and Friends talks show that Ukraine is seen as a “buffer between Russia and Europe.”

Trump insisted there will be a “form of security” in an attempt to stop Putin launching another series of attacks on Ukraine if a peace deal is not reached.

Speaking about security guarantees, Trump said European leaders are “willing to put” boots on the ground inside Ukraine.

Trump added, “We’re willing to help them with things, especially probably if you could talk about by air, because there’s nobody has the kind of stuff we have.”

Trump described the talks in the White House on Monday as “very good” and he said Moscow will “accept” efforts by allies to guarantee Ukrainian security.

Trump said that during the White House meeting “we discussed security guarantees for Ukraine, which guarantees would be provided by the various European countries, with a coordination with the United States of America.

“Everyone is happy about the possibility of PEACE for Russia/Ukraine.

“At the conclusion of the meetings, I called President Putin and began arrangements for a meeting, at a location to be determined, between President Putin and president Zelensky.

“After the meeting takes place, we will have a trilat which would be the two presidents plus myself.”

However, Trump warned that it will be a “rough situation” if Putin fails to agree to the allied peace plan and suggested that US warplanes could help to defend Ukraine.

Trump believes that the Russian dictator could fundamentally end up rejecting any proposed peace plans, unless it is on his terms.

Trump told Fox News, “I hope President Putin is going to be good and if he’s not, that’s going to be a rough situation.

“And I hope that Zelensky, President Zelensky, will do what he has to do. He has to show some flexibility.”

Sir Keir Starmer has volunteered to send British troops to Ukraine to prevent Putin from intensifying the war, Trump said Britain is “willing to put people on the ground,” he added, “We’re willing to help them with things, especially probably if you could talk about by air, because there’s nobody has the kind of stuff we have.”

Trump said it is unlikely Putin will launch another war as he is “tired of it,” the US President said, “We are going to find out about President Putin in the next couple of weeks, that I can tell you,” Trump acknowledged it was “possible he doesn’t want to make a deal.”
