The US President reportedly told his closest aides that he will not restart military aid to Ukraine or intelligence even if Kyiv does sign the minerals deal, NBC News reported on Sunday.

NBC News quoted an unnamed Donald Trump administration official that the US President wants President Volodymyr Zelensky to make concessions to Vladimir Putin to give up the occupied territories, this is something Kyiv officials and the Ukrainian leader have said no to previously.

Trump also wants Zelensky to stand down and make steps to start elections in Ukraine and opposition leaders have said this will not be allowed until the war is over.

The tech billionaire and Space X owner Elon Musk warned on Sunday that should the US turn off the Starlink satellite system which has proven vital for Ukrainian forces then the entire frontline will collapse.

Writing on X Musk cryptically warned, “My Starlink system is the backbone of the Ukrainian army. Their entire front line would collapse if I turned it off.”

Musk has publicly stated he is “sickened by years of slaughter in a stalemate that Ukraine will inevitably lose.

“Anyone who really cares, really thinks and really understands wants the meat grinder to stop.”

Maxar technologies who are a US aerospace company received an “administrative request” to disconnect Ukraine from accessing their satellite images, Ukrainian media outlet Militarnyi reported on Friday.

This will massively affect Ukrainian troops on the battlefield as the high-resolution satellite images has been relied on to make key strategic plans and used to track Russian troop movement across Ukraine and the occupied territories.

Maxar said on Friday, “The official justification that users received from the Maxar administration was ‘upon administrative request.’

“In fact, the shutdown was a consequence of the United States government’s ban on providing intelligence data to Ukraine.

“That is, the administration of President Donald Trump, through the Department of State, banned the provision of satellite data for Ukraine to American companies and commercial services.”
