The State Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has confirmed on Monday that their drone has successfully “destroyed” fighter jets at a Russian military airbase in Crimea.
The SBU conducted an operation which resulted in one “Su-30M” left being “completely destroyed,” another was damaged, and three Su-24 warplanes were hit in the drone attack.
The SBU said on Monday, “This night, drones of the SBU Central Military District ‘A’ visited the Saki military airfield in temporarily occupied Crimea. It is a key Russian airbase for operations in the Black Sea.”
The SBU also confirmed that the attack on the Russian airfield hit a weapons depot used for arming warplanes.

The continued, “A Su-30SM aircraft was completely destroyed, another was damaged. Three Su-24 aircraft were also hit. The enemy suffered significant losses.
“After all, just one Su-30SM aircraft can cost an average of $35 to $50 million.”
The SBU added, “The successful special operation of the SBU in Saki is another step towards weakening the enemy’s ability to wage a war of aggression against Ukraine.
“The occupiers should remember that they will never feel safe on our land!”
On 1 June 2025 the SBU carried out “Operation Spiderweb” undertook a serious mission attacking Russian strategic bombers.
SBU chief Vasyl Malyuk oversaw the operation under orders from President Volodymyr Zelensky.
In total four major Russian military bases were also attacked by drones, these were, Ivanovo, Dyagilevo, Belaya and Olenya.
Malyuk said that more than 40 strategic aircraft were damaged in the drone attack and 34% of the Kremlin’s cruise missile warplanes located at the airfields were taken out.

President Zelensky confirmed late on Sunday evening that “Spiderweb” operators of the Security Services (SBU) had invaded Russian airfields destroying $7 billion of military aircraft.
The President wrote on social media the operation was dubbed as “Spiderweb” which gave an “absolutely brilliant result.”
